Apply today!Material Handler / Forklift Operator Responsibilities:Monitor and request materials and color from storage locations to production linesEnsure that all lines have materials delivered in a timely manner to avoid potential extrusion line shutdownsManage transactions performed by computer or a RF hand scanner such as receipts, moves, counts, reservations and/or other transactions neededScan, apply LP label, and move finished or fabricated products from production lines to correct warehouse/storage locationsPerform daily forklift inspections per shiftReport all damage or discrepancies to the Quality Manager and/or Distribution LeadPerform non-electronic entries such as scrap with accuracy and date with handwritten entries on paperPerform cycle counts, as requested, to ensure inventory accuracy to avoid stock outsRe-weigh or recount materials being returned to proper locationsAssist production as time permitsAdhere to company safety, environmental, and quality policies and proceduresRequirements for Material Handler / Forklift Operator:High school diploma or equivalent preferredExperience operating sit down forkliftThree years of experience working in a manufacturing plant and/or warehouse experience preferredAble to communicate in English, both written and verbalBasic computer skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and to work well and communicate with others preferredValid Illinois State Driver's licensePossess forklift certification or able to obtain forklift certificationAble to lift 40 pounds repetitivelyAble to work in a production environmentAble to work in manufacturing environment occasionally being exposed to dust, odors, fumes and noiseIND133 QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
