DCSA is the designated oversight authority on the accreditation of classified facilities, information systems, and the insider threat program. This involves security oversight of more than 10,000 companies and approximately 13,000 facilities involved in classified work throughout the DoD and 31 Federal agencies.\n\nSpecifically, on the DCSA One IT program, SAIC will provide an enterprise IT solution that delivers highly secured and adaptable IT infrastructure, provides customer support, an cutting-edge technologies that support operations and advance the DCSA mission under a single IT environment (i.e., One IT).\n\nDesktop Engineering Responsibilities:\n\nStrategic IT Support and Alignment\nContribute to the deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting of data input/output devices across DCSA networks, supporting IT modernization and \"One IT\" initiatives.\nAlign technical efforts with DCSA and DoD policies, procedures, and industry best practices to build a flexible, evolving enterprise IT environment that supports DCSA's mission effectively.\n\nEndpoint Configuration and Management\nCreate and update enterprise desktop images, including non-standard workstation images for standalone systems.\nPerform quarterly updates and deliveries of enterprise desktop images to the Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI).\nMaintain and secure all enterprise endpoints, ensuring compliance with security standards and functionality requirements.\n\nTroubleshooting and Issue Resolution\nIdentify, log, and track user-reported issues, such as software conflicts and hardware device malfunctions, through the IT incident ticketing system.\nResolve Tier II technical support tickets escalated to the Desktop Engineering team, escalating further if required.\nDiagnose and recommend solutions for security or functionality issues in desktop images.\nAssist customers with software installation, peripheral setup, and basic troubleshooting.\n\nLogistics and Asset Management\nCollaborate with cross-functional DCSA teams, including Data Center Operations (DCO) and Computer Network Defense, to streamline the deployment, patching, securing, sanitizing, and transportation of IT assets.\nAnalyze deployment failures, identify problematic trends, and recommend corrective actions to enhance operational efficiency.\nEnsure timely restoration, maintenance, and replacement of IT equipment, including laptops, tablets, workstations, and peripherals.\n\nProcess Improvement and Knowledge Management\nRecommend and implement technologies, processes, and knowledge management tools to enhance desktop engineering effectiveness.\nMaintain and update documentation on desktop system/network configurations, software inventory, and automation trends.\nContribute to training initiatives for the deployment of new technologies and solutions.\nDevelop and update a knowledge base to facilitate the investigation, diagnosis, and resolution of incidents.\nQualifications\nIt is required that the Senior Desktop Engineer have the following qualifications:\nBA/BS and Five (5) or more years of experience in Desktop Support and Data Center Operations or relevant years of experience in lieu of degree.\nExperience with SCCM or (MS Endpoint Configuration Manager).\nIAT-II certification (i.e. Security +).\nUS Citizen and Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.\nTarget salary range: $80,001 - $120,000.
