We work with 1,250 school districts in 39 states and 8 Canadian provinces carrying approximately five million students in 21,000 schools daily.\nAbout the Position\nThe Transportation Manager in Development (MID) position at First Student is intended to be a short-term transitional role, providing work assignments and training opportunities to prepare MIDs for management positions.\nManager Trainee (Transportation Manager In Development) Responsibilities:\nDevelop partnerships with locations and corporate staff.\nDevelop a skill set by working closely with management staff at various locations.\nShowcase your strong management foundation and knowledge of the business.\nRotate through multiple departments, including dispatch, road supervision, safety, finance, and HR.\nPerform any related duties that are required or assigned.\nLearning Assignments for this role will focus on key categories such as the following:\nSales\nOperations\nMaintenance\nHuman Resource\nSafety & Security\nFinance & Accounting\nLabor Relations/Legal\nManager Trainee (Transportation Manager In Development) Experience and Skills Required:\nHigh School diploma/GED with previous supervisory/management experience.
