You will work closely with end users, providing technical assistance, diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues, and contributing to the overall effectiveness of the IT environment. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, strong communication skills, a commitment to exceptional customer service, and the ability to address a wide variety of technical challenges.\nKey duties include:\nInstall, configure, and maintain hardware and software on company devices.\nDeliver prompt and effective technical support to users via in-person, remote, email, or phone communication.\nDiagnose and resolve hardware, software, and technical challenges ranging from routine issues to complex problems.\nAssist with setting up and configuring new workstations, including user accounts, email setup, and required applications.\nPrioritize support requests by urgency and impact on business operations.\nTroubleshoot network connectivity and printer-related concerns.\nMaintain detailed and accurate records of hardware inventory.\nEducate end users on basic troubleshooting and best practices to help prevent recurring issues.\nAssist with developing documentation and user guides for common technical procedures.\nDocument user-reported issues, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions within a ticket tracking system.\nStay updated on industry trends and advances in workstation technology.\nMay be involved with audio-visual systems, ruggedized laptops, kiosks, and other specialized equipment as required.\nFulfill other duties as assigned within the workstation support function.\nEssential Skills, Experience\nMinimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in a workstation support or similar IT support role.\nProficiency in diagnosing and resolving technical issues with Windows operating systems, hardware, software, and networks.\nExperience supporting and troubleshooting productivity suites (e.g., Microsoft Office), networked printers, and connectivity issues.\nFamiliarity with DNS, Active Directory, VPN, and basic principles of enterprise IT environments.\nExceptional communication skills (verbal and written), with an ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical users.\nExcellent customer service aptitude, both for face-to-face and phone-based support.\nAbility to stay organized, adapt to shifting priorities, and manage multiple support requests simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, resourcefulness, and reliability under pressure.\nAttention to detail in documentation, ticket tracking, and asset/inventory management.\nComfort and professionalism in both independent and team-based work.\nValid state-issued driver’s license required for travel between locations (company vehicle provided when necessary).\nRelevant IT certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician are a plus.\nStrong soft skills – ability to integrate into a team, empathy, patience, adaptability, and the capability to clearly translate complex concepts for end users.\nQualifications:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.\n2 or more years of relevant technical support experience required.\nPhysical ability to lift and carry equipment (up to 70 pounds), and perform tasks involving bending, kneeling, and reaching in tight spaces as needed.\nWillingness and ability to drive to various company locations and departments as job duties require.\nAvailability to provide occasional after-hours or weekend support for critical issues or scheduled maintenance.\nECCO Select is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce.
