{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"20fa74463bfe7a5af7f308c9","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/20fa74463bfe7a5af7f308c9","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/20fa74463bfe7a5af7f308c9","title":"Maintenance Manager","description":"Key Responsibilities\nPlant Reliability & Operational Performance\nAnalyze crushing plant and mobile equipment performance trends to optimize throughput and reduce unplanned downtime.\nEnsure emergency repairs to crushers, screens, conveyors, loaders, haul trucks, and wash plants are completed safely and in a timely manner.\nReview root cause analysis (RCA) for equipment failures (bearings, motors, gearboxes, hydraulics, structural components) and implement sustainable corrective actions.\nSupport production targets by aligning maintenance priorities with daily and seasonal demand.\nAssist in developing the maintenance budget and ultimately manage to said budget.\nPreventive & Predictive Maintenance\nDevelop and continuously improve preventive and predictive maintenance programs for:\nJaw, cone, and impact crushers\nVibrating screens and feeders\nConveyor systems and stackers\nWash plants and pumps\nMobile heavy equipment (loaders, excavators, haul trucks)\nMaintain and optimize CMMS/asset management systems (SAP, Oracle, Limble, or equivalent).\nTrack equipment lifecycle data to support rebuild and replacement strategies.\nSpare Parts & Inventory Management\nIdentify and sustain critical spare parts inventory for high-wear and long-lead items.\nManage cycle counts and internal audits to ensure inventory accuracy.\nCoordinate with suppliers to minimize downtime caused by parts shortages.\nMonitor wear parts consumption (liners, belts, idlers, screens, bearings, hydraulic components) and adjust stocking levels accordingly.\nBudget & Capital Planning\nDevelop and manage the annual maintenance operating budget.\nMonitor maintenance spend including labor, parts, contractor services, and rebuilds.\nAssist in capital planning for plant expansions, crusher upgrades, major rebuilds, and fleet replacements.\nProvide cost analysis and ROI justification for capital improvement projects.\nVendor & Contractor Management\nSource and manage outside contractors for major rebuilds, electrical work, structural repairs, and specialized services.\nNegotiate service agreements and parts contracts to ensure cost efficiency and quality workmanship.\nCoordinate OEM support for major equipment (crushers, screens, heavy mobile equipment).\nLeadership & Safety\nLead, train, and develop maintenance supervisors, technicians, welders, and electricians.\nPlan daily and weekly maintenance activities aligned with production schedules.\nPromote a strong safety culture in compliance with MSHA regulations.\nQualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or related field (preferred).\n5–10 years of maintenance leadership experience in aggregate mining, quarry, or heavy industrial operations.\nStrong working knowledge of crushing and screening systems.\nExperience with CMMS platforms (SAP, Oracle, Limble, etc.).\nKnowledge of MSHA regulations and mining safety standards.\nStrong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical troubleshooting expertise.\nBenefits:\n401(k)\nDental insurance\nEmployee discount\nHealth insurance\nLife insurance\nPaid time off\nProfessional development assistance\nRetirement plan\nVision insurance\nWork Location: In person\nEqual Opportunity Employer\nThis employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
