The ideal candidate will have a passion for education and be able to provide academic support to students. See requirements below; applying is encouraged for this immediate position.\nResponsibilities:\n- Provide one-on-one tutoring in the Student's home. Some weekday, daytime hours required. No Online only tutors needed.\n- Skilled tutoring using the student's own curriculum and real time assignments.\n- Ability to simplify concepts, and help build better study habits and organizational skills.\n- Help to improve students’ academic performance and achieve their learning goals.\n- Assist students with homework, test preparation, and understanding course materials.\n- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly.\nQualifications:\n- Must have a minimum Bachelor's degree.\n- Proficiency in middle school Math is required. Any other core curriculum Subjects K-12 is a plus.\n- Minimum 2 years’ experience working with students; teaching, tutoring, mentoring.\n- Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain goals and concepts clearly.\n- Simplify concepts and be adaptable for different learning styles.\n- Basic technical skills for writing student progress/session notes in our tutor portal.\nGrowth Mindset:\n- Possess self-awareness, lead with empathy and is not afraid to ask for help.\n- Bring your best self to each tutoring session with confidence and commitment.\nJoin our team of dedicated educators and make a difference in the lives of students!
