This senior level position requires strategic vision, exceptional leadership capabilities, and deep technical expertise to deliver complex infrastructure projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This position may also lead engineering services projects or advisory services projects including Independent Engineering reports and lender due diligence.This is a senior leadership role reporting directly to executive management. Location is in our Greenville SC office. Relocation assistance will be considered.Core ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Project ManagementLead and direct multi-disciplinary project teams across engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning phasesDevelop and execute comprehensive project strategies, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and client requirementsOversee project budgets ranging from $5M to $200M, maintaining strict financial controls and profitability targetsEstablish and maintain project governance frameworks, including project controls, risk management protocols and quality assurance systemsDrive continual project optimization, from work processes and tools to contracting methodologies and procedures.Serve as the primary client interface for executive-level communications and strategic decision-makingTeam Management & DevelopmentManage, lead, and mentor high-performing project teams of professionals across multiple disciplinesFoster collaborative relationships between internal teams, subcontractors, vendors, and client stakeholdersImplement talent development initiatives to enhance team capabilities and ensure succession planningEstablish clear accountability structures and performance metrics across all project functionsRisk Management & ComplianceIdentify, assess, and mitigate project risks across technical, commercial, regulatory, and operational dimensionsEnsure full compliance with Company policies, best practices, industry standards, environmental regulations, and safety protocolsDevelop and execute contingency plans for critical project scenariosMaintain comprehensive project documentation and audit trails for regulatory and client requirementsCommercial & Contract ManagerLead contract negotiations with clients, major suppliers, and subcontractorsManage change order processes and commercial risk allocation strategiesOversee procurement strategies to optimize cost, schedule, and quality outcomesEnsure project delivery within approved budgetary constraints while maximizing profitabilityBusiness Development & Strategic ContributionSupport proposal development and execution sections of RFP responsesLead or participate in client presentations and investor meetingsProfessional RequirementsBachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil), Construction Management, or related technical fieldMaster's degree in Engineering Management, Business Administration, or equivalent a plusRelevant industry certifications (e.g., AACE, PMP, PMI Portfolio Management) a plusProfessional Engineer (PE) license a plus10+ years of progressive experience in EPC and/or EPCM project delivery5+ years in project management roles with full P&L responsibilityExperience with emerging technologies, first-of-a-kind deployments, or process-intensive projects preferredDemonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teamsStrong financial literacy and understanding of project finance structuresExceptional written and verbal communication skillsTechnical CompetenciesDeep understanding of EPC project execution methodologies and industry best practicesProficiency in project management software (Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, SAP)Strong financial acumen including project economics, cash flow management, and risk analysisKnowledge of relevant industry codes, standards, and regulatory requirementsUnderstanding of emerging technologies and digital project delivery toolsBenefits:Nexus PMG has a competitive benefits packageMedical, dental, vision, short & long-term disability Insurance, FSA, 401(k)
