Back to AboutShop Lead – Second ShiftSylvan, Inc. is a market-leading, trusted automotive services contractor to Fortune 500 companies.The Shop Lead – Second Shift will be responsible for executing all tasks and technical aspects of assigned projects to assure the highest level of accuracy and quality while working for the manufacturing superintendent. This position will be responsible for the fabrication of all components working from engineered drawings as well as managing the second shift crew.Job ResponsibilitiesReading and interpreting engineering blueprints.Measuring and marking out cutting and bending lines.Setting up metal working machinery.Reviewing drawings prior to the beginning of fabrication.Fabricating and constructing metal components.Perform quality checks on completed products.Conforms to Sylvan and OSHA safety procedures.Complete inspection reports.Fabricates components in a timely manner to maintain scheduleEducation RequirementsVocational training certificate or College degree.Required Skills & Experience5 years’ experience as a Fitter/Fabricator.Crew lead a plus.AWS welding certification.Proficiency in using shop equipment.Hi-lo License.Rigging and overhead crane use.Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.Strong interpersonal skills with a professional, positive “can-do” attitude.Possess excellent communication skills.Required Skills & ExperiencePower & Free ConveyorsTwo Strand ConveyorsRoller Flight ConveyorsFriction ConveyorsPower Roll Bed ConveyorsCross Transfer ConveyorsLift TablesHold TablesTurn TablesVertical Drop LiftersFlat Top ConveyorsFork TransfersApply TodaySend your resume to abloom@sylvan-inc.comBack to About
