This individual will coordinate patient appointments, referrals, testing, and scheduling workflows while supporting physicians, clinical teams, and front office operations.The ideal candidate will have extensive medical scheduling experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously while maintaining a compassionate and professional approach to patient care.Key ResponsibilitiesManage high-volume scheduling for new patients, referrals, follow-up visits, and returning patientsAnswer and route incoming calls while providing professional and timely patient supportMaintain physician schedules, including meetings, call coverage, clinic templates, and scheduling adjustmentsCoordinate outpatient testing, procedures, surgeries, and hospital admissions as neededObtain insurance authorizations, referrals, and required pre-certificationsCommunicate appointment details, procedure preparation instructions, and follow-up care information to patientsCollect co-pays, deductibles, and patient financial responsibilitiesAccurately document patient information within electronic medical record (EMR) systemsAssist with pre-operative coordination and post-operative scheduling when applicablePrepare reports, correspondence, and administrative documentation as requestedEnsure compliance with HIPAA guidelines and patient confidentiality standardsProvide support for additional front office functions and team coverage as neededRequired QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredMinimum of 3 years of medical scheduling experience in a healthcare or specialty clinic environmentStrong knowledge of medical office scheduling workflows and patient coordinationExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and ExcelAbility to multitask efficiently across multiple systems and applicationsStrong organizational skills and attention to detailProfessional, patient-focused demeanor with a commitment to customer service excellencePreferred QualificationsPrevious oncology or specialty healthcare experience preferredExperience with EMR systems, insurance verification, referrals, and pre-authorizationsFamiliarity with medical terminology, scheduling procedures, and surgical coordinationExperience supporting multiple providers or high-volume practicesWhy This Opportunity?Consistent Monday–Friday daytime scheduleCollaborative and supportive healthcare team environmentOpportunity to make a direct impact on patient experience and care coordinationStable, fast-paced role within a growing specialty healthcare settingProfessional culture focused on teamwork, service excellence, and operational efficiencyQualified candidates with strong healthcare scheduling experience are encouraged to apply for immediate consideration.
