Safety CoordinatorThe Safety Coordinator supports the Division Safety Leader and Operations team in promoting and maintaining a safe work environment across fabrication facilities in Maryland. This role focuses on day-to-day safety support, compliance monitoring, employee engagement, and documentation to ensure adherence to company policies and OSHA regulations.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct routine walkthroughs of fabrication facilities to monitor compliance with company, state, and federal OSHA regulationsPartner with supervisors and employees to identify hazards and assist in implementing corrective actionsDocument safety inspections, near-misses, and incidents; track corrective actions to completionAssist with maintaining required safety documentation, including accident reports, inspection logs, and training recordsSupport accident and injury investigations and help prepare required documentationReinforce company safety policies and safe work practices in the fieldProvide guidance to employees on general industry safety standards (OSHA CFR 1910)Assist with delivering safety meetings and toolbox talksMonitor trends in incidents and injuries and communicate findings to leadershipSupport emergency response efforts as neededPromote a positive safety culture through strong communication and conflict resolution skillsPerform additional duties as assignedQualifications2–4 years of general industry safety experienceBachelor's degree in Safety, Environmental Health, or related field (completed or in progress) OR OSHA 30 certification requiredOSHA 10 certification preferredCPR/First Aid/AED certification preferredWorking knowledge of OSHA CFR 1910 (general industry standards)Strong conflict resolution and interpersonal skillsAbility to communicate effectively with employees at all levelsStrong organizational skills and attention to detailProficiency with Microsoft Office SuiteAbility to work in a fast-paced fabrication/shop environmentAbility to travel to fabrication locations within Maryland as needed
