Build and sustain meaningful relationships with families, community partners, and stakeholders while supporting school leaders and staff in fostering welcoming, collaborative, and responsive school environments. Essential and Marginal Functions Essential Functions/Duties The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:Develop and implement a comprehensive districtwide family and community engagement strategy aligned to the district's strategic plan, creating meaningful, accessible opportunities for families and community members to engage with schools.Serve as an advocate for families by connecting them to resources and collaborating with Directors of Schools and building leaders to address concerns, identify solutions, and promote positive outcomes for students and caregivers.Lead the district's community schools work by coordinating strategy, measuring outcomes, and managing partnerships with lead agencies and school-based teams to ensure community schools meet the needs of students and families.Lead the District Parent Advisory Committee (PAC) and support school-based Parent Teacher Organizations (PTO), building leadership capacity among family representatives and fostering consistent, two-way communication and collaboration.Design, coordinate, and evaluate districtwide programs, events, and initiatives that strengthen connections among families, students, staff, and the broader community.Manage the district's volunteer program, including recruitment, onboarding, and clearance processes, ensuring compliance with state requirements and a positive experience for volunteers.Nurture strong partnerships with community organizations, businesses, and stakeholders to support district priorities; manage partnership agreements, including contracts and MOUs, and serve as the district liaison.Serve as liaison to the Lancaster Education Foundation (LEF), and identify opportunities to expand community collaboration and support.Coordinate and monitor compliance with Title I family engagement requirements, including preparation for audits and required documentation.Serve as the district point of contact for the Teen Elect Program serving SDoL students by supporting program monitoring, collaborating on staff evaluations, and maintaining effective communication among program stakeholders. *Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
