This role partners all levels of leadership and associates to reduce workplace risk, improve safety performance, ensure regulatory compliance, and foster a culture of safety across both manufacturing and office environments. The EHS Representative reports into the Human Resources team and serves as the point of contact for workplace safety and environmental initiatives, workers' compensation coordination, incident investigations, safety training, and both OSHA and EPCRA compliance, while supporting continuous improvement efforts throughout the organization.\n\nEssential Functions\nJob Responsibilities\n\nSafety Program Administration\n\nLead the development, implementation, and maintenance of company safety programs, policies, and procedures.\nConduct routine safety inspections, audits, and hazard assessments.\nMonitor workplace conditions and recommend corrective actions to reduce risk.\nMaintain compliance with OSHA, environmental, and other applicable regulatory requirements.\nFacilitate emergency preparedness and response planning.\nRecommend and implement continuous improvements to company safety programs and practices.\n\nIncident Investigation & Risk Reduction\n\nLead and/or support management in investigations involving injuries, near misses, property damage incidents, and safety concerns.\nLead and/or support management in identifying root causes and develop corrective action recommendations.\nMonitor completion and effectiveness of corrective actions.\nAnalyze injury and incident trends to identify and recommend opportunities for continuous improvement.\n\nWorkers' Compensation & Return-to-Work Support\n\nCoordinate workers' compensation claims with carriers, medical providers, and internal stakeholders.\nComplete injury reporting and claim documentation.\nOversee transitional duty and return-to-work programs.\nMaintain accurate claim records and track claim status.\n\nSafety Training & Associate Engagement\n\nDevelop and deliver safety training for all associates.\nFacilitate new associate safety orientation programs.\nDevelop and support safety committees and associate involvement initiatives.\nPromote associate awareness of workplace hazards and safe work practices.\nPartner with leadership to strengthen safety culture.\n\nCompliance & Recordkeeping\n\nMaintain OSHA logs and required safety documentation.\nPrepare reports for regulatory agencies as required.\nEnsure compliance with environmental and safety reporting requirements.\nMaintain training records, inspection reports, and safety metrics.\n\nEnvironmental Compliance\n\nSupport environmental compliance activities including maintenance of required records, permits, reports, and training.\nCoordinate annual environmental reporting requirements, including EPCRA/Tier II reporting and other applicable regulatory submissions.\nPartner with both internal and external leaders, consultants, vendors, and regulatory agencies as needed to ensure compliance with environmental requirements.\nMonitor environmental compliance obligations and communicate emerging risks or regulatory changes to leadership.\nParticipate in environmental audits and corrective action planning.\n\nMetrics & Reporting\n\nMonitor and report key performance indicators related to safety, environmental and risk management.\nAnalyze trends related to injuries, workers’ compensation claims, near misses, audits, training effectiveness, and environmental compliance metrics.\nProvide Director of HR with recommendations and key areas of opportunity.\nPrepare routine reports for leadership review.\n\nOther\n\nPerform all duties in a manner that follows, demonstrates, and promotes Etac company values and elements.\nReport to work as scheduled, on time, and able to work entire work schedule.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\n\nKnowledge, Skills, and Ability\nWorking knowledge of OSHA regulations, workplace safety standards, and injury prevention practices.\nKnowledge of incident investigation techniques, root cause analysis, and risk assessment methodologies.\nKnowledge of workers' compensation administration, return-to-work programs, and regulatory recordkeeping requirements.\nKnowledge of environmental compliance requirements applicable to manufacturing operations, including EPCRA/Tier II reporting, chemical inventory management, SDS administration, and environmental recordkeeping.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with the ability to evaluate risks and recommend practical solutions.\nAbility to work independently, manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail and regulatory compliance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively train, coach, and influence employees at all levels of the organization.\nStrong presentation and facilitation skills.\nAbility to build collaborative working relationships with hourly associates, supervisors, managers, and leadership teams.\nAbility to analyze safety, environmental, and workers' compensation data and identify trends that support continuous improvement initiatives.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office applications and experience maintaining compliance records and reporting systems.\nAbility to work extended hours as scheduled, including weekends.\nWillingness and ability to travel domestically 5-10% of time as needed.\n\nPhysical Demands\nFrequent sitting.\nFrequent wrist manipulation.\nFrequent use of fingers to grasp, move or assemble varying size of objects.\nFrequent ability to be ambulatory within a large manufacturing facility; including walking and standing.\nFrequent lifting up to 15 pounds.\nOccasional lifting up to 40 pounds.\nMust be able to observe and identify details such as:\ndetails of objects that are less than a few feet away.\ndifferences between colors, shades, and brightness.\nMust be able effectively communicate and perceive information such as:\nunderstand the speech of another person.\nsounds and recognize the difference between them.\n\nQualifications\nEducation / Experience\n\nRequired\n\nBachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Risk Management, Human Resources, Industrial Technology, or related field and a minimum of three years of relevant experience; OR an equivalent combination of education and progressive manufacturing safety experience totaling five years or more.\n\nPreferred\n\nAdministering workers’ compensation claims and return-to-work programs.\nSupporting OSHA compliance within a manufacturing environment.\nPreparing or coordinating EPCRA/Tier II reporting.\n\nWorking Environment\nStandard working conditions include a temperature-controlled office and manufacturing environment.\nPosition may require extended hours on occasion, including
