The Master Teacher will provide instructional support and coaching to teachers as they work to ensure that each student is able to reach his or her academic potential. The Master Teacher's primary role is to work with teachers to support best practices in using data, provide analysis of school-wide trends in instruction, and make recommendations about potential next steps to address areas of need. The Master Teacher will focus on individual and group professional learning that will expand and refine the understanding about researched-based effective instruction for teachers. In order to meet this purpose, The Master Teacher will provide personalized, 1:1 support based on the goals and identified needs of individual teachers.\n\nReports to the Assistant Principal of handle other tasks as assigned.\nProvide individualized, classroom-based coaching and modeling to support teachers in implementing good instructional practices.\nGeneral Responsibilities Plan collaboratively with school leaders for teacher support.\nProvide ongoing content specific professional development to teachers..\nProvide regular feedback to school leaders about teacher progress.\nProvide support in analyzing school data and student assessment data.\nFormat data so it is easily understood and communicated.\nTeach one class period per day during the school year in an assigned content area or grade level, serving as a model classroom teacher who demonstrates high-quality instructional practices, effective classroom management, and implementation of the school's curriculum and instructional expectations.\nAssist teachers with instructional decisions based on assessment data.\nProvide support for classroom motivation and management strategies.\nAssist teachers in creating materials that are in alignment with curriculum and the state assessments.\nProvide teachers resources related to curriculum and instruction with a focus on conceptual learning.\nProvide assistance in researching instructional and/or curriculum issues.\nModel effective instruction weekly for teachers using technology if needed.\nEncourage and facilitate ongoing professional growth for content specific teachers.\nWork positively toward meeting identified goals.\nAssist with the development of curriculum, instruction, and assessments.\nBe knowledgeable of the Louisiana State Content Standards and stay abreast of the shifts that occur.\nAssist teachers with proper planning to execute rigorous lessons.\nDevelop and maintain a confidential, collegial relationship with teachers.\nParticipate fully in professional development for coaches, including peer observations, professional research, and reading.\nAssist teachers in aligning their teaching with appropriate standards, curriculum, and assessments.\nWork collaboratively and collegially with other directors, curriculum specialists, and principals.\nAssisting teachers with setting rigorous goals for tiered instruction.\nPerform such other duties as may be assigned\nRequirements\n\nSkills/Qualifications A Masters degree is preferred with an emphasis on curriculum or administration.\nProven track record of excellence as a classroom teacher with predictive characteristics of an outstanding administrator.\nExperience working with adult learners, coaching teachers, and delivering professional development.\nStrong record of helping students achieve academic success, primarily with minority and low income students\nExperience in analyzing data and using results to modify curricula\nMulti-faceted, multi-skilled, resourceful, and willing to do whatever it takes to help our students reach a level of academic excellence\nModel positive and healthy character traits and habits, such as being organized, consistent and understanding\nUnquestioned integrity and commitment to Einstein's mission and willingness to serve the Einstein community\nEvaluation Annual school
