The Precision Assembler will play a key role in supporting the growth of M-7 Technologies and will work closely with the Operations Manager and other Project Managers. This Position will focus on assembly / disassembly of a variety of equipment including Gearboxes, Rolls, and various mechanically rotating equipment, the majority of which will be heavy industry related.\r\nPrimary Job Duties\r\n\r\nPerform strip and advise activity which includes photograph incoming project, clean, disassemble, inspect, photograph, and summarize findings in report format.\r\nRepair and assemble projects once repair purchase orders have been awarded. Install new gearing where applicable, new bearings and seals, and replace worn components\r\nInspect and test completed projects, record mesh (bluing), backlash, final dimensions, run test recording time and temperature\r\nRead and interpret mechanical assembly drawings and parts lists.\r\nConsult with project managers on jobs being reviewed for quoting, offer input on processes, equipment and material requirements\r\n\r\nRequired Skills and Qualifications\r\n\r\nPreferred minimum of 5 year's related experience\r\nKnowledge of heavy industrial applications and manufacturing (machining, assembly, testing) is a requirement.\r\nProblem solving ability, identify failure mode and offer recommendations for improvement, aid in increasing Product Life Cycle\r\nComputer aptitude required to summarize findings, list hardware, bearing, seal part numbers and information, failure modes, repair work scopes\r\nAble to accurately utilize shop measuring equipment such as OD micrometers, ID micrometers, depth gauge, calipers, etc.\r\nHigh motivation to succeed as well as attention to detail.\r\nAbility to thrive in a team environment and get along well with others\r\nMachining knowledge and ability a plus, specifically manual lathes and mills.
