Position: Database AdministratorLocation: Alexandria, VAWork Environment: HybridClearance Required: Top SecretStatus: Contingent Upon Contract AwardKnowesis is seeking a Database Administrator to manage and maintain DoD OIG’s enterprise databases, ensuring secure, efficient, and reliable data operations. This role supports day-to-day administration, user support, and production deployment across multiple environments.To be eligible for this position, candidates must possess U.S. Citizenship without the need for sponsorship, both now and in the future. Applicants without proof of U.S. Citizenship will not be considered due to the position’s security clearance requirements. The Job Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Administer and maintain database systems, ensuring uptime and performanceCreate and manage user accounts, roles, and permissionsPerform routine maintenance, backups, and restoresTroubleshoot database issues and respond to service requestsSupport data imports, exports, and reporting functionsEnsure compliance with DoD data governance and security policiesDocument procedures and maintain operational runbooksRequired Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
