Reliable and able to work with attention to detail and safety standards is a must. The operator oversees the printing and/or die-cutting of quality products in a safe and efficient manner. The operator is responsible for knowing how to perform all the specific job duties associated with operator and assistant positions. Being a team player is essential since all tasks will require close collaboration with co-workers. The goal will be to ensure that production procedures will be carried on smoothly to maximize efficiency and profits. Experience working with corrugated packaging equipment is a plus.\n\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\n\nGeneral knowledge and understanding of rotary die cutting processes and equipment\nRead, understand and follow job tickets to determine setup specifications and instructions\nSet-up print and die-cut sections of die cutters in accordance with proper setup techniques\nInspect and and ensure that all bolts, cutting dies, and anilox rolls are in good condition and tightly in place\nStop or reset machine when malfunctions occur, clear machine jams, and report malfunctions to a supervisor\nRegulate machine flow, speed, or temperature, dimension, pressure, register settings\nInspect and remove defective products and packaging material\nAdjust machine components and machine tension and pressure according to size or processing angle of product\nMaintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations\nSet up machine from job to job – based on McKinley RDC operational proficiencies\nProperly and successfully interact with packers\nUnderstands Lock-out/Tag-out procedures required for opening and closing McKinley RDC\nRecord all necessary information on the SupplyOne QAR (Quality Assurance Report)\nFollow instructions accurately\nMeet customers’ requirements for printing, slotting, and scoring\nUnderstand and follows First Box Inspection Process\nAbility and knowledge to understand and use printing plates, ink system, and die boards\nUnderstands all safety procedures and precautions to ensure protections of personnel doing repairs and machine cleaning – including donning of PPE and replacing and rotating blankets.\nEnsuring production floor, machine area, is clean, accessible, and safe.\nThis list is not exhaustive of assigned responsibilities\n\nQUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:\n\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and safely.
