This role involves reviewing and reconciling accounting data, conducting internal audit spot checks, and supporting corporate accounting operations.\nThe Controller will assist the CFO with financial reporting, bank and account reconciliations, escrow analyses, fund transfers, and cash management activities.\nEssential Job Duties and Responsibilities\nAP Invoice Entry.\nAssist with annual insurance renewal and property allocations.\nEnter and pay all corporate invoices.\nManage corporate cash flow and forecasting.\nInitiate Wire Transfers.\nRecord AHC payments and deposits in accounting system.\nMake online vendor portal payments.\nBill-back properties for reimbursement to EHDOC.\nProcess credit card transactions.\nMake cash calls to properties and track income.\nDownload investment statements and record changed in assets.\nRecord interest receivable from various loans.\nVerify and monitor aged receivables from properties.\nPost cash received from properties to EHDOC aged receivables.\nTrack employment recruiting invoices and dates of hire.\nEHDOC corporate bank account reconciliations.\nIntercompany reconciliations.\nProcess intercompany billings.\nReview draft audits for approvals.\nReview draft of federal and state tax returns for approvals.\nVerify auditor adjusting journal entries and corrective actions.\nPrepare monthly property financials and review with CFO.\nConduct regular audits of property files for accounting deficiencies.\nSupport property accountants.\nApplies a working knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.\nCompiles financial information in accordance with GAAP and governmental reporting requirements and prepares reports, prepares work papers and analysis for outside auditors, government entities, and IRS Section 42 low-income housing tax credit requirements.\nUses various accounting systems and software applications to verify and/or format data and/or reports.\nEstablishes work priorities.\nAssist and provide support as needed to CFO and Executive Staff.\nAssis with special projects and committees.\nAssist CFO with internal and external audits, processing files for month-end financial reports.\nAdditional duties assigned by EHDOC.\nAssist outsourced accounting vendor team with various property-level accounting tasks.\nFamiliar with fixed asset schedules.\nA bachelor’s degree in accounting, business or related field is preferred or five (5) years of related work experience is required.
