Medical Malpractice Intake Specialist – Wilmington, DEWe are seeking a highly skilled Medical Malpractice Intake Specialist to serve as the first point of contact for prospective clients. This role is critical to our practice and requires a high level of professionalism, empathy, and judgment. The ideal candidate is comfortable handling sensitive conversations, quickly identifying key issues, and clearly summarizing complex medical and factual information for legal review.Key ResponsibilitiesServe as the initial contact for prospective medical malpractice clients, handling inbound calls with professionalism, empathy, and discretionConduct structured intake interviews to gather essential case information, including:Timeline of medical care and eventsHealthcare providers and facilities involvedAlleged medical errors or deviations from careNature and severity of injuriesAccurately document and summarize potential cases for attorney and paralegal reviewIdentify and appropriately flag high-priority matters, including catastrophic injury and wrongful death casesMaintain complete and accurate records within the firm's intake and case managementsystemsRoute matters in accordance with firm criteria and established proceduresSet clear and realistic expectations with callers regarding next steps and follow-upQualificationsPrior experience in medical, legal, or personal injury intake strongly preferredKnowledge of medical terminology and an ability to understand complex clinical scenariosStrong interviewing, listening, and analytical skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to summarize information clearly and conciselyDemonstrated ability to handle emotionally charged situations with professionalism and composureStrong attention to detail and sound judgment in assessing and prioritizing casesAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, high-responsibility environmentExperience with FineVine is a plusWhy Join Us?This position is ideal for someone who enjoys meaningful client interaction, takes ownership of their work, and understands the importance of intake as the foundation of a successful medical malpractice case.
