Piledriver for Elbow Rd ProjectArcher Western Construction is currently seeking a Piledriver for the Elbow Rd Project in Virginia Beach, Virginia. The primary function of a Piledriver is to operate a piledriver at the site of work to construct, maintain, or repair highway, heavy civil, or building type structures; equipment operators are also expected to assist in other duties around the jobsite as needed.Our employees are built to succeed. We are dedicated to career advancement by rewarding hard work and initiative.Join the team that is building the infrastructure where you work and live!ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities include but are not limited to:Operates a Piledriver mounted on skids, barge, crawler treads, or locomotive crane to complete tasks such as driving piles as foundation for structures such as buildings, bridges, piersMust have knowledge of operating procedures for hoisting equipment to position piling leadsMay oil, grease, service, and make normal maintenance adjustments on equipment; performs daily safety and maintenance checks; completes paperwork and other documentation as requiredMay be some vibration associated with equipment operation; jolts and vibrations may result from operating equipment; loud noise when operating equipmentMay perform other related duties as requiredQualifications3-5 years of operating experience preferredMust be able to lift up to 50 lbsMay be required to work in adverse weather conditionsRequires the ability to comply with all safety policies and proceduresCommunicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors to ensure projects are completed properlyPossess a strong work ethic and desire to learnRequires good manual dexterity; may be standing, bending, kneeling or sitting for long periodsMust be able to pass a pre-employment drug screeningThe Walsh Group, Ltd.
