This position performs a variety of maintenance tasks, including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC work. Assignments are generally completed through work orders, with accurate documentation required upon completion of each job.\n\nKey Responsibilities\nPerform general maintenance and repairs throughout designated buildings and facilities.\nComplete electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, and other facility-related repairs.\nRespond to and complete assigned work orders in a timely manner.\nAccurately complete all required work-order documentation within one working day of job completion.\nIdentify maintenance issues and take appropriate action to resolve them.\nMaintain a safe, clean, and functional environment throughout assigned facilities.\nWork cooperatively with coworkers, facility managers, supervisory staff, and facility residents.\nRespond to special assignments and emergency maintenance needs as required.\nPerform other duties related to facility maintenance as assigned.\n\nMinimum Education and/or Licensing Requirements\nHigh School Diploma or GED required.\nAdditional training and/or experience in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, or related maintenance fields.\nLicensed plumber preferred/required, depending on agency requirements.\n\nRequired Experience and Skills\nWorking knowledge of general facility repair and maintenance.\nTechnical experience in building maintenance, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, or related areas.\nAbility to troubleshoot and resolve routine maintenance problems.\nAbility to work effectively and cooperatively with coworkers, facility managers, supervisory staff, and facility residents.\nAbility to prioritize work orders and complete assignments within established timeframes.\nAbility to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a team.\nStrong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.\n\nWork Schedule\nExpected to work at least 8 hours per day and 40 hours per week, in accordance with agency policy.\nMay be required to work outside of normal business hours for special assignments or emergencies.\nOn-call responsibilities are required.\n\nPhysical Requirements\n\nThis position may require standing, walking, bending, lifting, climbing, reaching, and working in various indoor and outdoor environments.
