This role offers hands-on experience across the full product development lifecycle, including design, testing, analysis, and documentation. You will gain exposure to cutting-edge RF/microwave technologies and develop practical engineering skills by supporting real-world projects.Design & Simulation: Potentially assist engineers in design of RF/microwave circuits and components using CAD software such as Ansys HFSS, Keysight ADS, or CST or Microsoft toolsLab Testing & Measurement: Perform hands-on testing of components using oscilloscopes, network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and signal generatorsSystem Integration: Support Troubleshooting, data taken and debuggingData Analysis: Use tools to analyze test data and aid engineering with correlation of results with both practical and simulation modelsDocumentation: Prepare technical reports, presentations, and design documentationFlexibility: Cross-train in other job functions to meet requirementsRequirements/QualificationsCurrently enrolled in a B.S. or M.S. programCompleted or actively enrolled in coursework related to engineering fundamentalsBasic familiarity with test equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, network analyzers)Hands-on experience with electronics, such as soldering and PCB assemblyPreferred Requirements/QualificationsCoursework in RF/microwave engineering, electromagnetics, materials science, or analog circuit designExperience with CAD tools (e.g., ADS, HFSS, AWR)Hands-on experience soldering or troubleshooting PCBsKnowledge of transmission line theoryKnowledge of Microwave amplifiers and measurementsU.S. Export Controls Requirements: This job requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by the export laws of the United States.
