{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"201304e1d2f921ec6b6924ef","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/201304e1d2f921ec6b6924ef","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/201304e1d2f921ec6b6924ef","title":"Maintenance Technician","description":"Description:\nThe Maintenance Technician maintains equipment, facilities and infrastructure that manufacture products for the customers of HyTech, focusing on troubleshooting, repair, preventative maintenance, installation, continuous improvement and safety.\nSupervisory Responsibilities:\nNone.\nDuties/Responsibilities:\nPrimary function to perform predictive, preventative, routine repair, and troubleshooting maintenance for plant wide systems and equipment including instrumentation, electrical, heating, hydraulic, infrastructure, pneumatic, auxiliary support, and production equipment, new and specialty equipment.\nPerforms general plumbing, electrical, heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC) building or material repairs s to the facility’s equipment and systems. Examples may include repairing drywall, painting, repairing doors and other building fixtures.\nInspects equipment and systems to identify problems or issues.\nReference blueprints or building plans to identify best solution to resolve systems or equipment issues.\nConducts preventive maintenance to ensure that plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems continue operating properly.\nPerforms general cleaning tasks in the facility.\nTroubleshoots, inspects and identifies issues to determine necessary repairs of facility, machines or equipment.\nPerforms routine maintenance on building systems.\nCleans and assists with upkeep of the facilities.\nOrders supplies and materials needed for repairs and maintenance.\nMay meet and work with outside suppliers, vendors, contractors and other providers required to represent Hytech in a courteous and professional manner.\nComplete required data entry and paperwork such as Request for Maintenance, Time Sheets, Orders and filing using a work order, computer system or tablet.\nPerforms other related duties as assigned.\nReports to department lead, supervisor and/or manager.\nRequirements:\nRequired Skills/Abilities:\nAbility to follow directions and work well in a team.\nKnowledge of general plumbing, electrical, HVAC, general carpentry and repair.\nProvide their own general tools to perform the job duties.\nAbility to read blueprints, building plans, and repair manuals.\nAbility to use hand tools and power tools.\nAbility to follow instructions.\nExcellent time management skills.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nUnderstanding of and the ability to abide by applicable OSHA and environmental regulations.\nBasic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.\nBasic Quality Standards and Concepts literacy\nEducation and Experience:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent required.\nPrefer at least one year of related experience.\nOther certifications, training or requirements as may arise for this position as communicated by management.\nCompletion of on-the-job training may be substituted for educational requirements.\nPhysical Requirements:\nProlonged periods working on feet, using tools, and performing repetitive actions that entail frequent bending and stooping.\nMust be able to lift up to 30 pounds at a time or move or position objects up to 50 lbs.\nMay be required to repetitively move or position materials, tools, equipment and objects above and below shoulder level, and from side to side of body.\nMust be physically able to climb ladders, bend, and crawl into awkward spaces.\nMay be required to communicate, discern, convey, or exchange information with other teammates.\nMust be able to wear all personal protective equipment at all times during work hours as required by company safety rules.\nOther duties:\nPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
