This role is critical to field execution and represents the company directly on job sites. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership, technical knowledge, and a commitment to quality, safety, and accountability.Position DetailsDepartment / Crew: OperationsReports To: Field LeadEmployment Status: Permanent, Year-RoundKey ResponsibilitiesLead and manage a crew of 2–8 team membersAssign and oversee daily job duties to ensure efficient executionServe as the primary point of communication between field crew, subcontractors, inspectors, and clientsCollaborate closely with Dispatch and Operations Leadership to plan and execute workIdentify and communicate issues early to support efficient project executionEnforce all PANICO safety policies and job site proceduresOperate heavy equipment as requiredIdentify equipment issues and assess appropriate actionMaintain accurate daily logs including activities, materials, and site conditionsComplete administrative responsibilities including time entry and reportingEnsure work is performed to company standards for quality and efficiencyPerform additional duties as required to support project successQualifications3+ years of heavy civil construction experience2+ years of GPS rover and machine control experience2+ years in a supervisory or leadership roleProficiency operating excavation equipmentAbility to read and interpret engineered plans and drawingsStrong work ethic and positive, team-oriented attitudeReliable attendance and punctualityCommitment to maintaining a safe work environmentValid driver's license (CDL is a plus)Pipe laying and underground utility experienceCore CompetenciesCommunicationLeadershipDecision MakingProblem SolvingTime ManagementDependabilityAttention to DetailPhysical RequirementsAbility to sit, stand, walk, and bend regularlyAbility to frequently lift up to 50 poundsWork EnvironmentOutdoor job sites in varying weather and environmental conditionsAdditional InformationThis job description is intended to outline the general nature and level of work performed by individuals in this role.
