{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"1fef069b1cfced5eb058baee","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/1fef069b1cfced5eb058baee","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/1fef069b1cfced5eb058baee","title":"Assembly Technician","description":"Job DetailsJob Location: Multilink Inc - Elyria, OH 44035Salary Range: $14.50 HourlyThis position is responsible for preparing sub-assemblies and finished product to correct length, shape, and orientation according to customer and/or product requirements using hand and air-powered tools.\r\nKey Job Responsibilities\r\nProficient in assembling LAN Premise products and operating equipment involved such as hand tools and air powered tools.\r\nIdentify and select correct tooling/hardware for the job task with setup documents or lead/supervisor assistance.\r\nReport and document basic material, production and quality control issues.\r\nParticipate in equipment preventative maintenance at the operator level.\r\nMust be willing to learn and operate/assemble other equipment/parts.\r\nPerform daily maintenance to assigned equipment/work center to keep in proper working order.\r\nHas the ability to read blueprints to ascertain correct specifications and perform in-process inspections.\r\nHas the ability to understand basic wiring diagrams and connection points called out on blue prints or models.\r\nLoad fiber assemblies ranging from 6 fibers to 288 fibers per unit.\r\nLoad panels following industry standard color and numbering system.\r\nEfficiently load and route fiber without kinking or breaking.\r\nTest with Visual Fault Locator to ensure light passes through each fiber.\r\nQuality troubleshooting.\r\nVisual and physical verification of quality and function\r\nCommunicate with engineering as needed.\r\nSafely move material using forklift and/or pallet jack.\r\nCleans and maintains an orderly work area using the 5S procedure set up.\r\nAssist other individuals in area when needed.\r\nCommunicates effectively with other workers to direct personal workflow.\r\nPromotes teamwork, effective communication, and adherence to company policies, process, and procedures.\r\nPerform all other duties as assigned to by Management\r\nEducation and Experience\r\nH.S. Diploma or equivalent may be required.\r\nBasic reading, writing and arithmetic skills required.\r\nMust be able to read and understand blueprints, tape measure, calipers, and other shop drawing aids.\r\nDemonstrated ability to effectively implement or respond to change.\r\nUnderstanding and support of Company policies and procedures.\r\nSafety conscious behavior.\r\nExcellent attendance.\r\nAbility to work with various types of assembly constraints with guidance.\r\nPhysical Requirements\r\nLift, carry, push and or pull 1 – 50 lbs. frequently.\r\nSquat/kneel, bend/stoop, twist/turn, grasp and reach overhead and outward frequently.\r\nSit, stand and walk for 1 – 10 hours per day.\r\nClose mental and visual attention required, coordinating manual dexterity with mental and visual attention for sustained periods of time.\r\nMust be able to pass pre-employment drug screen.\r\nWork Site Environment\r\nAbility to work in a 55 – 85-degree Fahrenheit work environment.\r\nPayrate: $14.50 + Benefits\r\nQualificationsEducation and Experience\r\nH.S.
