The role will focus primarily on developing and maintaining .NET applications while also supporting system retirement, data archival or migration, integrations, testing, deployment, and technical support.\n\nDuties\nDesign, develop, maintain, and enhance applications using ASP.NET, Web Forms, Entity Framework, and Web APIs.\nBuild and support web services, application integrations, and related system enhancements.\nSupport application development activities representing approximately 60% of the role.\nSupport application decommissioning activities representing approximately 40% of the role.\nPerform system inventory, dependency mapping, and impact analysis across application integrations.\nDecommission Java-based application code, APIs, batch processes, databases, services, middleware, infrastructure, and third-party components.\nPerform data extraction, archival, and/or migration in accordance with applicable retention requirements.\nValidate migrated and archived data to ensure data integrity.\nPerform testing, deployment, troubleshooting, performance optimization, and ongoing technical support.\nCreate and maintain application reports using SSRS and Crystal Reports.\nImplement application authentication, authorization, and role-based security.\nPrepare decommissioning plans, runbooks, validation reports, technical design documents, code artifacts, test results, and deployment documentation.\nCollaborate with cross-functional technical and non-technical teams.\nMandatory Qualifications\nStrong experience with C# backend development.\nProven experience with ASP.NET MVC and ASP.NET Web Forms.\nHands-on experience with .NET Core.\nExperience with Entity Framework Core or Entity Framework 6, including Code First or Database First development, LINQ, migrations, query optimization, and complex data relationships.\nExperience with SQL Server 2019, including database design, optimized SQL queries, stored procedures, and performance tuning.\nExperience designing and consuming RESTful APIs using ASP.NET Core Web API.\nHands-on experience with SOAP web services, WSDL, and XML-based services.\nStrong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript ES6+.\nIn-depth experience developing Single Page Applications using Angular 8, including components, directives, services, and routing.\nHands-on experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and Crystal Reports.\nSolid understanding of Model-View-Controller architecture and common design patterns, including Repository, Factory, and Singleton patterns.\nExperience with unit testing frameworks such as XUnit, MSTest, or NUnit and familiarity with Test-Driven Development practices.\nProficiency using Git for version control and team collaboration.\nHands-on experience with CI/CD practices using Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or comparable tools.\nExperience implementing authentication and authorization using OAuth, JWT, and role-based access control.\nExperience supporting application decommissioning, including system inventory, dependency mapping, impact analysis, and controlled retirement of application components.\nExperience with data extraction, archival, migration, and validation.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nAssociate’s degree or combination of experience and education.\nDesirable Qualifications\nExperience designing and developing microservices-based applications.\nExperience optimizing frontend, backend, and database performance.\nFamiliarity with Docker and Kubernetes.\nExperience with .NET 6+.\nExperience with AWS and/or Azure.\nExperience with React or Vue.\nExperience with NoSQL and MongoDB.\nInterview Requirement\n\nCandidates should be available for an in-person and/or telephone interview.\n\nCloud and Things complies with all applicable federal, state, and local laws regarding recruitment and hiring.
