We do this by being deeply knowledgeable, fully capable, and always dependable, and our associates are the driving force behind this commitment.\n\nResponsible for safely facilitating the movement of finished and unfinished material through the manufacturing and production process.\n\nMajor Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities\n\n• Reviews work orders or follows verbal instructions to move pallets and containers from machines.\n\n• Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand.\n\n• Moves material from storage or work sites to designated areas. Ensures that operators have all the raw materials to operate their equipment.\n\n• Stacks and assembles materials into bundles. Bands bundles.\n\n• Removes empty pallets from equipment.\n\n• Performs duties of Shipper/Receiver as assigned.\n\n• Performs other duties as assigned.\n\nNature and Scope\n\nRefers complex, unusual problems to supervisor.\nUnder general supervision, exercises some judgment in accordance with well-defined policies, procedures, and techniques. Work typically involves regular review of output by a senior coworker or supervisor.\nNone.\n\nWork Environment\n\nTypically located in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors that may cause noticeable discomfort or a moderate risk of accident or illness, such as temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noises, and fumes.\nRequires intermittent periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting, and maneuvering material or equipment that may be heavy (50+ pounds) or awkward.\nTypically requires overnight travel less than 5% of the time.\n\nEducation and Experience\n\nHS Diploma or GED strongly preferred. Specialized skills training/certification may be required.
