Are you ready to go beyond?\nWe have an immediate need for a Coatings Processor C 2nd Shift (onsite)\nWhat You Will Do:\nPlan and perform pre and post coating operations on production, overhaul or developmental parts, and assist others responsible for operating and maintaining coating equipment.\nWork from verbal, written and electronically generated instructions to set up, adjust and operate a wide variety of manual and numerically controlled auxiliary equipment in support of coating operations, within assigned area.\nAssignments may include (but are not limited to) non-atmospheric ovens and furnaces, wet and dry media, cleaning and shot-peen equipment, where methods and processes are developed and closely controlled.\nWithin the scope and skill level of this job description, assist others responsible for new part process tryouts, run test pieces and re-operate rejected parts, following prescribed repair instructions.\nCheck work both visually and with gauges provided.\nAssist others responsible for the setup, operation, changeovers and maintenance on a variety of complex coating equipment.\nPerform masking and de-masking operations; assemble and remove parts into holding fixtures.\nClean out coating chambers during changeovers; clean and make minor repairs to fixtures, such as removing and replacing broken bolts or details.\nPerform routine servicing throughout the assigned area following specified procedures and written instructions (such as operator’s checklist) for upkeep to ensure equipment operates properly.\nRefer difficulties to leader or supervisor.\nMay be assigned to carry out tasks, not specifically listed, within the scope and skill level of this job description in support of department objectives and to develop individuals' skills.\nMay be required to train for, obtain and maintain licenses, operator permits and certifications within assigned area.\nQualifications You Must Have:\nHS Diploma or equivalent\nSix months manufacturing/Industrial/Aerospace experience.\nQualifications we prefer:\nIn compliance with the collective bargaining agreement, priority consideration is given to candidates who are INTERNAL (and recall) to the Pratt & Whitney IAM Bargaining Unit members of District Lodge 26 and Affiliated Locals 700 and 1746 (Connecticut Operations).\nBachelor’s degree in engineering or graduation from certified program\nMinimum 2 years coating experience.\nMinimum 2 years’ trades experience.\nLearn More & Apply Now!\nIn addition to transforming the future of flight, we are also transforming how and where we work.
