This position plays a key role in creating a welcoming and hospitable environment for guests while assisting with the overall guest experience during their stay.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSGreet and welcome guests in a professional and friendly manner upon arrivalAssist guests with luggage, guiding them to their rooms and offering information about the hotel’s amenitiesProvide assistance with transportation needs, including calling taxis, arranging shuttles, or assisting with valet parkingParking guest vehicles in accordance with hotel policiesDelivering guest vehicles to the hotel loading area at the front of the hotelSecure and store guest vehicle keysEscort guests to their rooms, offering a brief introduction to room features and hotel facilities (e.g., Wi-Fi, dining, fitness center, etc.)Ensure that all requests for amenities (e.g., extra pillows, towels, or specific room needs) are promptly fulfilledAct as a source of information for guests, answering questions regarding local attractions, services, and hotel policiesHandle guest inquiries professionally, directing them to appropriate departments when necessarySafely handle and store guest luggage before check-in or after check-out, ensuring that it is properly tagged and stored in a secure areaRetrieve and deliver luggage to rooms promptly when guests check in or outEnsure the hotel entrance, lobby, and common areas are clean, well-maintained, and welcoming at all timesReport any maintenance or housekeeping issues to the appropriate departmentAssist with guest check-in and check-out by helping guests with luggage and directing them to the appropriate areasAssist guests with payment and billing inquiries in collaboration with the Front Desk teamEnsure the safety and security of guests and their belongings, adhering to hotel safety protocolsAssist in emergency situations by directing guests to exits or safe zones if necessaryRequirements:ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONSHigh school diploma or equivalent; some college preferredPrevious experience in a customer service role, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environmentAbility to lift and carry heavy luggage (up to 50 lbs)Friendly and professional demeanor with excellent communication skillsAbility to maintain a neat, clean, and professional appearance at all timesKnowledge of hotel amenities, local attractions, and basic guest service proceduresStrong organizational and multitasking skills, with a focus on attention to detailAbility to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidaysPHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENTThe physical demands & work environment described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
