Description Position: Lead EstimatorLocation: Bridgeport, CT (On Site)Reports to: Vice President of OperationsCompany: Safety Marking LLC What We OfferJoin a team that values safety, integrity, and growth, working across New England and beyond.Paid holidays and PTO (accrue from day one)Medical, dental, life, and voluntary vision (effective first month after 60 days)401(k) with employer matchCompanywide holiday shutdown (Christmas–New Year’s)Training, mentorship, and ongoing professional developmentAnnual performance‑based pay increasesEqual Opportunity Employer — women, minorities, and veterans encouraged to applyPay range: $36 to $38 hourly What You DoLead the estimating department, ensuring estimates are accurate and consistent aligning with project scope, specifications, and budget objectives.Collaborate closely with project managers, executives, and cross-functional teams to validate assumptions, identify risks, and refine pricing strategies.Provide strategic input on project pursuits, including bid approach, cost positioning, and value engineering opportunities to enhance competitiveness and profitability.Analyze historical data, market trends, and subcontractor/vendor pricing to develop informed, data-driven estimates.Mentor and guide junior estimators, reviewing their work to ensure consistency, accuracy, and adherence to company standards.Oversee the preparation and submission of bids, ensuring completeness, compliance, and alignment with company objectives.Identify potential cost risks and opportunities early in the estimating process and recommend effective mitigation strategies. What You BringBachelor’s degree in construction management or related field preferredExtensive estimating experience within the construction industryAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Teams Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentStrong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skillsExcellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills ScheduleFull-time Monday – Friday (8 hrs./day, 40 hrs./week)May be flexible within core office hours (6 Am – 5 PM)Overtime is available Check us out at www.SafetyMarking.NetE.O.E.
