Operation Homefront is sourcing candidates for a Program Coordinator position in Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, and Ohio.\nThe Program Coordinator’s primary responsibility is assisting with the execution of assigned programs, community events, outreach, and fundraising, managing volunteers, and providing administrative support to the field office— including answering telephones and correspondence, accounting, and database management.\n\nDesired candidates will have:\nHigh School diploma or equivalent required.\nBachelor’s degree preferred.\n2 years’ experience performing social services responsibilities, program delivery, and/or event coordination in the nonprofit sector preferred\nExperience with social media and communication tools\nValid driver’s license.\nAcceptable MVR (annual)\nCriminal background check\nMS Office Programs\nEveryAction & Digital Cheetah experience a plus\n100/300/100 personal auto coverage\nAccess or ownership of an automobile\n\nTypical duties include:\nAssists in coordinating all Field Office program activities, outreach, and events.\nProvides administrative support – answering phones, answering Email, office/program supply purchases, budget tracking, program recordkeeping, and accounting duties, including timely and accurate documentation of all in-kind good inventory, distributions, and current needs.\nCoordinates volunteer program – recruits and maintains a pool of volunteers for program needs, posts volunteer opportunities, records volunteer hours, fills volunteer opportunities, trains and supports volunteers, and provides volunteer recognition.\nIn coordination with the Regional Development Manager, researches funding opportunities, compiles donor information, writes grants and applications to gain sponsorship and donations, and solicits corporate cash and in-kind donations.\nAssists in establishing and maintaining database of all corporate relationships and cooperative arrangements with community groups, organizations, and military leadership, as well as area resources for the military community.\nWrites content for online communication and electronic newsletters to submit to national communications staff.\nPerforms other duties as assigned.\n\nOther Details:\nThis will be a hybrid position with the ability to perform duties from a home office if desired; however, event support and periodic office meetings would require some travel to surrounding areas.\nGeneral office and sedentary. Use of personal computing equipment, telephone, multi-functioning printer and calculator. Manual dexterity, ability to lift up to 20 pounds. Ability to drive a motor vehicle and travel to and from meetings, training sessions or other business-related events to include overnight travel at least 40% of the time.
