VP of West Coast Operations – Discrete Manufacturing We’re seeking an experienced, hands-on Site Leader to oversee all aspects of a discrete manufacturing facility. This role is ideal for a high-energy, strategic operator who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment and has a proven track record of scaling operations, driving cost savings, and leading from the front. This is not a desk role—you’ll be highly visible on the floor, working alongside your team to drive performance, accountability, and a strong culture of pride in output. What You’ll Do Leadership & Culture Lead daily factory operations with an active, on-the-floor presence Host daily morning production meetings and set the tone for the day Develop, mentor, and hold accountable a team of managers and supervisors Build a culture of ownership, continuous improvement, and healthy competition across production areas Partner with HR to attract, retain, and develop top talent Foster strong engagement across all levels—from direct labor to executive leadership Operations & Manufacturing Excellence Own full plant P&L and drive operational performance across production, scheduling, procurement, logistics, and engineering Optimize labor, materials, equipment, and automation to improve efficiency and output Lead cost-saving initiatives—candidates should be able to speak to specific dollar-impact results Implement and refine preventative maintenance and reliability programs to maximize uptime Partner cross-functionally to enhance design-for-manufacturing (DFM) and production quality Strategy & Execution Execute site-level strategy aligned with broader business objectives Scale plant operations and prepare for future growth, including potential second shift expansion Identify and implement process improvements and standardization initiatives Support capital projects and facility expansion efforts Finance & Reporting Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and KPIs Provide regular performance updates and insights to executive leadership Drive accountability through structured daily, weekly, and monthly operating rhythms What You Bring 15+ years of manufacturing experience, including direct responsibility for a discrete manufacturing site 10+ years in plant leadership or senior operational roles Proven ability to scale operations, improve performance, and implement cost-saving initiatives (with measurable results) Experience in high-volume, automated manufacturing environments Strong leadership presence with the ability to connect across all levels of the organization Bilingual Spanish preferred Experience in modular, panelized, or construction-related manufacturing environments is a plus Strong business acumen with P&L ownership experience Ability to operate independently while driving both strategy and execution Operating Environment Early-start, high-visibility role (typical start ~6:00–6:30 AM; daily production meeting at 7:00 AM) Facility currently operates 6 days per week with rotating leadership coverage Approximately 150+ direct employees with additional indirect support staff Fast-paced, growth-oriented environment with evolving processes and strong leadership expectations Why Join Highly competitive base salary + performance-based bonus Comprehensive benefits (medical, dental, vision) 401(k) with employer match Generous PTO and flexible time-off programs Opportunity to make a direct impact in a growing, innovative manufacturing environment
