We work with restaurant chains, fast food operators, grocery chains, and warehouse distributors — keeping their refrigeration units sealed, their compressors running, and their food safe.We're a small, close-knit team of about 10 people. We do one thing and we do it well: gaskets and strip curtains. As we grow, we're looking for dependable people who take pride in their work and want to build something with us.The RoleWe're hiring a Gasket Technician — someone we call a Gasketeer — to join our field and manufacturing team. You'll split your time between hands-on installation work at customer sites and production work at our facility. This is a physical, detail-oriented role that suits someone who's handy, self-motivated, and reliable.What You'll DoIn the FieldInstall commercial refrigeration gaskets for walk-in coolers, doors, and drawersInstall strip curtains, hinges, handles, and related hardwareTroubleshoot issues and resolve customer concerns on-siteRepresent Cal Gaskets professionally with every customer interactionIn the ShopMeasure and cut gasket materials to specificationStuff, clip, and weld gasketsMaintain an organized, safe workspaceScheduleTraining period: Part-time to start, 2 days per weekTypical shift: 5:00 am – 2:00 pmEarly call times possible: As early as 4:00 am on some daysSchedule expands as training progressesCompensation$18 – $25 per hour, based on experienceWhat We ProvideFull training — no prior gasket experience requiredAll tools needed for the jobWhat We're Looking ForSkillsComfortable with basic mechanics and hand toolsAble to operate a power drillStrong attention to detailClear, professional communicationAble to follow multi-step instructions accuratelyRequirementsPunctual and reliable — every shift, every timeClean driving recordSelf-motivated with a strong work ethicAble to keep company vehicles properly stocked and maintainedCommitted to a safe work environment and prompt to report any safety concerns to managementMust have (or be willing to obtain) all safety items required for the job — all provided by the companyWhy Cal GasketsWe're a niche company in a trade that most people don't know exists — and that's exactly what makes it a solid opportunity.
