The operator keeps work areas clean and organized, performs daily stocking of materials and supplies, supports maintenance activities as needed, and works safely and efficiently. This role also contributes to continuous improvement efforts to reduce cost and delays and improve production and quality.\n\nMain Responsibilities / Essential Functions\nReview and follow the daily production schedule to ensure smooth and timely operations.\nMaintain a clean and safe work area.\nPerform daily stocking of materials and supplies.\nSet up, operate, monitor, troubleshoot, and perform preventative maintenance on equipment.\nPerform periodic checks on equipment and solve problems as detected.\nContribute to continuous improvement efforts to reduce cost and delays and improve production and quality.\nComplete required training within designated timeframes and attend all required meetings.\nUnderstand and support the company’s goals and values and adhere to company, department, safety, quality, environmental, and ethics policies and procedures.\n\nAbout You / Qualifications\nRequired\nHigh school diploma or equivalent.\nCommitment to safety.\nAttention to detail.\nGood communication, interpersonal, collaboration, and teamwork skills.\nBasic computer skills.\nPreferred\nTwo years of experience in a heavy industrial setting.\nForklift, bobcat, and overhead crane experience.\nMasonry experience.\nMechanical or electrical experience.\n\nOur Offer\n\nAt SSAB we use our values – driven, true and ahead –in making everyday decisions, keeping the customer at the heart of what we do.
