Fabrication Team Lead - 1st Shift

Hours: 5:00am - 3:15pm, Monday through Thursday (overtime hours as needed)Job SummaryThe Fabrication Team Lead is responsible for leading, monitoring, and supervising a group of employees to achieve organizational goals all while working alongside the team. This role involves motivating and inspiring the team to achieve KPI goals, 5S strategies all while assigning tasks, and ensuring projects are completed on time and within scope.ResponsibilitiesSafely lift and carry parts to your workstation, operate a hoist when necessary Use a mallet, hammer, or chisel to free parts from the sheet metalInspect metal parts for burrs, sharp edges, and surface imperfectionsUse hand tools, power tools, and specialized deburring equipment to smooth edges and surfacesEnsure all parts meet quality control specifications and tolerancesRead and interpret work orders, blueprints, or technical drawingsFollow all safety guidelines and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)Work collaboratively with team members and other departments to meet production deadlinesMaintain a clean and organized work area, including taking cardboard to the assigned disposal areaAssign tasks and communicate clear instructions to team members Train team members to enhance their skills and performanceHelp define and set goals for the team and monitor progress towards achieving company KPI goalsCreate and administer performance reviews to team membersCreate an inspiring and motivating environment for the teamOrganize work and ensure efficient workflow utilizing 5S principlesAdditional duties as assignedQualificationsHigh school diploma or GEDAbility to work with small tools and handle precision workGood hand-eye coordination and attention to detailAbility to lift 50lbsGreat work ethic and attendanceExcellent problem-solving abilitiesFlexibility and adaptabilityContinuous improvement mindsetAbility to use various computer system
