Safely isolate, ground and prepare circuits and electrical apparatus to enable repairs.\n\nRead and interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams and manuals to install, calibrate and maintain electrical apparatus. Work from complex engineering and manufacturer drawings or manuals to complete projects and assigned work.\n\nAbility to use both Mechanical/Electrical hand tools and power tools.\n\nAbility to use and/or willingness to perform work using ladders and mobile equipment such as forklift trucks, manlifts, scissor lifts and cranes.\n\nAbility to use and/or willingness to be trained to do rigging using chains, shackles, lifting eyes, slings, come-a-longs, chain falls and cranes as necessary to disassemble and reassemble equipment.\n\nAbility to use calipers, micrometers, torque wrenches and other specialized tools to troubleshoot, diagnose and determine root causes of equipment failures.\n\nAbility to use electrical/electronic testing equipment such as multimeters, ammeters, megohm meters, high potential testers, oscilloscopes, digital probes to troubleshoot and repair equipment.\n\nTroubleshoot and repair/maintain motor control centers, motor start circuits, control loops, generators, high voltage switchgear, protective relaying, and related equipment, transformers, transfer switches and switch gears.\n\nInstall and maintain control and distribution apparatus, such as switches, relays, circuit breakers, and control panels.\n\nTroubleshoot and/or modify PLC control logic as necessary. Install and calibrate pressure, temperature, flow, and level controls.\n\nInstall and maintain drive systems such as variable frequency drives, eddy current, and DC drives. Install and maintain programmable logic control systems (PLC).\n\nRun conduit, pull wires/cables and wire termination.\n\nRun computer cables, connect computer jacks and plugs and test for adequate operation.\n\nRemain in compliance with the current National Electrical Code.\n\nEffectively communicate problems and solutions to resolve electrical problems.\n\nAssist in establishing and maintaining scheduled maintenance programs for plant equipment.
