This effort will require significant system engineering skills to comprehend and integrate a complex military system of systems, and significant K8s and Platform Engineering skills to design and implement a product to deliver the required functionality. Due to the complexity of the overall system and the intense passion of stakeholders in this critical mission area, collaborative skills (with technical, operational, and program leadership colleagues) will be critical to success. software\nCompliance with government requirements\nSuitability for intended use\nQuality\nSets up, runs, and debugs third-party software (as part of evaluation)\nStands-up development environments and features in government AWS cloud environment\nPerforms requirements validation, tracing, and gap analysis\nPerforms software interface evaluations with respect to\nGovernment standards\nGovernment requirements\nIntegration between different third-party software packages\nPerforms system of systems software integration architecting and planning\nReports writing for all the above\nComprehends complex system requirements and architects a solution to provide the needed capability while honoring the constraints of secure/sensitive and no-fail missions\nBuilds and evolves an Internal Developer Platform (IDP) to meet stakeholder requirements\nDesigns and implements a DevSecOps solution aligning with modern DoD guidance for an ATO and/or continuous ATO\nUnderstands complex systems and leads integration efforts among multiple component teams\nModerates discussions across varied external teams to identify and implement solutions to critical system requirements\nBuilds proof-of-value platform demonstrations for stakeholders\nDeploys and supports developed products in stand-alone military environments (clearance and some travel required)\nEducates technical and non-technical teams on the applicability, benefits, and use of an IDP for their individual areas of responsibility\nCollaborates closely with cloud, security, and developer teams, both internal and external\nCollaborates closely with military operators and program management teams\nContinuously learns about new technologies and best practices\nIdentifies and improves value streams\nTrains and mentors junior Platform Engineers\nHelps establish SDL platform engineering best practices\nReviews the work of peers\n\nRequired Qualifications:\nBS degree or equivalent experience in computer science, MIS, engineering, or related field\n5-10 years of related experience and a BS, or 3-8 years and a MS, or 0-4 years and a PhD\nMust be a US citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Security Clearance\n3+ years of Linux Experience\nDemonstrated organization and planning skills, including an ability to prioritize multiple or competing technical tasks across one or more projects\nAbility to fulfill engineering responsibilities on assigned tasks and projects\nKnowledge of and compliance with Information Systems Engineering Procedure principles\nProficiency in Continuous Integration pipeline development and build-management troubleshooting\nProficiency in Continuous Deployment of software applications via containers or installable packages\nProven clear understanding and
