This role focuses on ensuring the quality of ASI's autonomous mechatronic systems through extensive testing, debugging, and analysis. You will work closely with mechanical, electrical, and software teams to validate integrated system performance, identify defects, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.\nJob Duties\nCollaborate with project teams to understand system requirements and design test plans and strategies for mechatronic systems.\nCreate and maintain comprehensive test cases, procedures, and documentation for hardware, software, and integrated system testing.\nExecute manual and automated tests to ensure mechanical, electrical, and software components meet functional, performance, and reliability requirements.\nTroubleshoot and debug issues found during testing, working with project teams to resolve them across mechanical, electrical, and software domains.\nConduct user-acceptance testing for integrated systems, as mechatronic components become ready for release.\nParticipate in scrum meetings and provide quality updates related to hardware and software integration.\nContribute to continuous improvement efforts to enhance overall product quality and efficiency.\nPerform tests in lab environments, on prototypes or vehicles, and in field test settings to assess real-world performance.\nDevelop testing protocols for different stages of product development and ensure proper validation before production or deployment.\nRequirements\n1-3 years of QA testing experience or related experience in mechatronics, robotics, or engineering.\nA degree or coursework in Mechatronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field.\nStrong understanding of testing methodologies for integrated mechanical, electrical, and software systems.\nProficiency in test case management tools such as JIRA, TestRail, or similar.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, especially in identifying and troubleshooting issues across multiple engineering disciplines.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills to document findings and collaborate with cross-functional teams.\nExperience in both individual and collaborative work environments.\nFamiliarity with Agile development processes and project management techniques is preferred.\nWillingness and eagerness to learn new tools, technologies, and systems related to mechatronics and embedded systems testing.\nTravel Requirements\n0-15% travel for testing in lab and field environments as needed.\nBenefits\nASI offers a rich benefit package including:\n401k with employer match\nGenerous HSA contribution\nEmployee Stock Ownership Plan\nPTO, Paid Holidays, and Flextime\nPaying 90% of employee's medical plan\nEEO Statement\nAt Autonomous Solutions, Inc.
