Labor & Employment Litigation Legal Assistant

Hancock Estabrook LLP is actively seeking a full-time Legal Assistant to support its growing Labor & Employment team in downtown Syracuse. Responsibilities Perform administrative duties such as preparation and drafting of correspondence; formatting and proofreading other documents. Filing and service of pleadings and other legal documents (e-filing with courts). Manage invoices for third-party vendors; request payment and complete necessary follow up with accounting and other firm departments as needed. Schedule conferences and depositions. Professionally interact with Firm clients and vendors. Maintain attorney calendars. Qualifications Qualified candidates will have a minimum of 2- 3 years of experience in a law office required, prior experience in the Litigation practice area is highly preferred. Must be an extremely organized, tech-savvy individual with an eye for detail and capable of maintaining strict confidentiality. Knowledge of office equipment operation and proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 is required. Prior experience with document management and e-filing platforms is desirable. The salary range for this position represents the firm’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Actual compensation will depend upon several factors, including the candidate’s years of experience, qualifications and skill set.
