Senior QA Tester
Overview:
Acuity is looking for a Senior QA Tester with expansive testing experience. This person must possess a deep understanding of all aspects of testing plus agile development best practices.

As part of our testing team you will be responsible for ensuring high-profile software applications used by senior officials and their staff, are of the highest software quality
As part of an agile software development team, you will actively participate in team discussions to contribute to producing functionalities that meet requirements and acceptance criteria
Identify test scenarios and generate detailed test scripts using industry best practices and with minimal supervision
Execute test cases and test plans using manual and automated methods
Independently identify, isolate, and document software defects
Maintain and expand existing test documentation, including test plans, test cases or scripts, and defect reports
Effectively communicate with project team and provide evidence to proceed with a software release
Assist with on-going process improvement efforts to ensure test planning, execution, and reporting methods are effective, efficient, standardized, coordinated, and integrated
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, systems engineering, or STEM related discipline, or equivalent related experience
Minimum 7 years of experience as a software tester or quality analyst
Deep and demonstrated knowledge of comprehensive testing methodologies, tools, and best practices
Extensive experience in generating test plans, test strategies, test scenarios, and test cases
Strong knowledge of agile practices and experience with agile planning tools (e.g., MS DevOps & Test Plans, Jira)
Experience in evaluating test coverage, identifying gaps, providing feedback, and implementing solutions
Experience with automation tools such as Postman, Newman, Selenium, Cypress, Jasmine, etc. is a plus
Attention to detail and ability to identify, isolate and document defects
Effective verbal and written communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
Collaboration skills
Adaptability and willingness to learn
Ability to focus on deadlines and deliverables
Cloud computing experience preferred (MS Azure and ServiceNow)
Clearance Requirement
Must have Active DoD Secret clearance verified in DISS. Top Secret preferred
