Special Ed Teacher | Seward, Nebraska

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A full-time Special Education teaching opportunity is available at an elementary school in Seward, NE, focused on early childhood education. This is a contracted position for the current school year through May 22, 2026. The schedule supports typical school hours, either from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM or 8:15 AM to 3:45 PM. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs), and other mandated special education documentation. Maintain consistent communication with early childhood team members and families to support student needs and progress. Complete all required paperwork specific to early childhood special education. Participate as part of an evaluation team to determine student eligibility for special education services. Manage a caseload of up to 20 children within a single PreK classroom setting with no travel between different sites. Required Qualifications: Nebraska Special Education certification. Additional certification in Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) or Early Childhood Inclusion (EC inclusive) is mandatory. Additional Information: This role is onsite-only.
