{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"1ef3f56b7fc19d976d791c2d","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/1ef3f56b7fc19d976d791c2d","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/1ef3f56b7fc19d976d791c2d","title":"Software Engineering Manager","description":"Amentum is currently seeking an Software Engineer with experience with the full range of software development to join our award winning team as both a software engineering expert and a personnel manager.\nBachelors Degree in computer science or engineering and 3 or more years of experience or Masters Degree and 1 year of software development experience.\n\nResponsibilities:\nManagement responsibilities including but not limited to:\nTo be familiar with Amentum's personnel policies, with the Program needs and able to communicate with the customer, when required.\nTo manage 10 or more personnel which includes on boarding, interim mentoring sessions, performance appraisals and advising in customized development plans.\nEngineering responsibilities including but not limited to:\nTo support analysis of software performance characteristics in the software development life and test cycle, to measure the computer processing time usage and come up with optimal methods for disk space utilization, network loading and throughout.\nTo enable designing, coding and maintenance of software support tools and modes.\nTo support the analysis of tools to aid in the software development process including test automation tools, code coverage tools, and memory checking tools.\nPrimary work location will be at Dahlgren Naval Air Station, and Fredericksburg, VA area with some telecommute as needed for company deliverables.\nMinimum Skills and Requirements:\nBachelor’s Degree (in Computer Science, Math, Engineering, IT Systems, Business Systems or Related Field).\nCurrent IAT Level II certification required.\nTwo or more years of primary software development work in an Agile Software Development environment is required.\nCandidates must maintain a valid Real ID driver’s license required for access to customer site and have access to reliable transportation (rideshare options such as Uber, Lyft etc. are not permitted) as this position requires occasional travel between local worksites during the week.\nMust have an active Secret US Government Clearance.
