If you’re interested in joining a dynamic work environment that offers opportunities to reach your full potential, we want to hear from you.\n\nJob Title: Material Coordinator\n\nPosition Overview: Material Coordinator is responsible for the movement, storage, cleanliness, safety checks and management of materials within a warehouse or industrial setting. Provides support by receiving material, creating shop travelers delivering products to different production areas.\n\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\n\nEnsure that material is delivered, ready, and staged for machines.\nUnload incoming wire rod and place it in designated storage area.\nRecording coil weight and yard location when storing\nTagged wire.\nHandling the removal and segregation of scrap and trash throughout the manufacturing area.\nMove material from rejection area to yard.\nEnsure finished product is delivered to appropriate department.\nRead work orders/bill of materials to determine product specifications.\nResponsible for quantity and quality to meet efficiency rates.\nObtain all required approvals.\nLabel packages.\nUse of forklifts, cranes, and hand carts to load/unload machine and to move material to and from machines.\nEnsure and observe all safety and housekeeping rules and guidelines, including conducting daily safety inspections.\nMaintain a clean and organized work area.\nInspect material during processing to ensure proper quality is maintained.\nComplete all documentation and turn in the work order to the supervisor.\nTrain new operators.\nWork in a fast-paced environment.\nWork in confined spaces.\nComplete all assigned training, including monthly health and safety sessions.\nOther duties as assigned.\nDepartment Duties and responsibilities:\n\nRead SDS’s to familiarized with chemicals used.\nMaintain all safety check lists to include eye washes, fire extinguisher, exits and all other Safety requirements.\nWork closely with the Office Admin\nMaintain cleanliness of the plant to include sweeping trash and other misc. duties.\nPlace material on hold, if necessary, stop production when nonconforming wire is found.\nWork in various temperature environments (including extreme heat)\nWork overtime as required.\nAssist production manager and other operators, as necessary.\nAbility to communicate – verbal and written.\nAbility to perform basic math functions with accuracy.\nBasic computer skills for data entry purposes\nAbility to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.\nAbility to work independently with minimal supervision.\nConstant standing & walking\nFrequent pushing, pulling, & reaching\nMulti-Tasking skills\nPreferred qualifications:\n\nHigh school graduate or equivalent preferred\nForklift experience preferred\n1-2 years in industrial machinery\nPredictable and consistent attendance is required.\nBenefits:\n\nHealth insurance\nDental insurance\nVision Insurance\nLife insurance\n401(k)\n401(k) matching\nPaid time off\nEmployee assistance program\nReferral program\nTuition reimbursement\nShift: 8-hour shift\nWork Location: In person, Company does not provide relocation assistance.\nCentral Wire Group of Companies is proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.
