Job Description Maintenance TechnicianMake sure to apply quickly in order to maximise your chances of being considered for an interview Read the complete job description below.Performs general preventive maintenance, reactive maintenance, and repairs of all production and building-related equipment.Company ProfileAn industry leader in the development, formulation, and manufacture of functional foods and nutritional supplements, specializing in fruit and nutrition bars.What's in it for you?Elwood Staffing associates are eligible for a comprehensive and competitive benefits package plus an exclusive savings program, including:Medical/Vision/Dental/Rx plansHoliday PayTeladoc (online care)Referral Bonus IncentiveWeekly Pay401kAnd More!Maintenance Technician Details:Temp-to-Hire position$27.50 /hourFull Time work availableWeekend work requiredThird Shift (Thursday through Monday from 10:00pm to 06:30am)Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facilitys equipmentProvide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine serviceWorks with supervisor to determine the root cause of issues and appropriate corrections.Troubleshoots conveyor system controls and adjusts/calibrates or repairs as needed; performs reactive repairs to maintain operation of conveyors and production equipmentMaintenance Technician Qualifications:Minimum 3 years’ experience in related field with intermediate to advance working knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, including conveyor systems in a fast-paced production environment.Working knowledge of standard building codes and safety regulationsGood verbal and written communication skillsIntermediate to advance knowledge of PLC's and sortation controlsAbility to follow blueprints, technical manuals, and engineering specificationsAbility to take direction and complete tasks independently or in a team environmentAbility to learn new skillsPossess a strong sense of urgencyAbility to be on call, work days or nights, weekends and overtime if requiredBasic word processing, spreadsheet, and email skills.Applicant may be subject to a background checkPre-employment drug screen (Excluding THC) is required as a condition of employment*A conviction record will not necessarily prevent you from being employed.
