Non-Registered Client Service Assistant/ 401(k) Client Service AssistantJob Category: Clerical Office/Admin Requisition Number: NONRE008234Full-Time On-site Locations: Richmond, VA 23235, USA +3 more locationsJob DescriptionEssential Responsibilities:Answer telephones and screen calls for financial advisorsInteracts daily on the phone and in person with prospective and existing clients including handling basic inquiriesResearch client and security information through the back-office systemProcess and follow-up on client documentation for proper maintenance of accountsPrepare letters, forms and spreadsheets to assist with servicing existing clients and prospecting for new clientsCreate and maintain records and filesMaintain databases and create reportsAssist financial advisors with marketing efforts including seminars, etc.Receive and process deposits and securities when neededTrain other service associates when neededCrosstrain on other operational functions and performs back-up in these areas as neededAdheres to applicable federal laws, rules, and regulations including those related to Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA)Other duties as assignedMinimum Required Skills & Competencies:Must project an excellent customer service attitudeGood interpersonal skills to deal with clients, financial advisors and other staffStrong written and verbal communication skills sufficient to deal with financial advisors, clients and other staffProfessional and pleasant appearance and demeanor to work with clientsAbility to work under pressure and meet daily deadlinesAbility to work independentlyGood organizational skills to be able to prioritize tasksGood analytical skills to be able to research account informationMathematical abilities sufficient to process account and transaction informationAbility to operate general office equipment (copier, fax, etc.)General computer skills to include competence in Windows and MS OutlookHigh School graduate or equivalentRegular attendance is requiredAt least 3 years retirement plan industry or related work experiencePhysical Requirements:Express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word via email and verbally.Exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, use your arms and legs, and sit most of the time.Have close visual acuity to perform activities such as analyzing data, viewing a computer terminal, reading, and preparing documentation.Not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential responsibilities of this job.
