Located in northern Nevada, it offers opportunities to work in a growing healthcare community that serves diverse patient populations.Role Description: This full-time, on-site Registered Nurse role is based at RENOWN SOUTH MEADOWS MEDICAL CENTER in Sparks, NV. The Registered Nurse will provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing interventions in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team. Daily responsibilities include administering medications and treatments, monitoring vital signs and patient responses, updating electronic health records, and communicating clearly with patients, families, and care teams. The role also involves patient and family education on diagnoses, medications, and discharge instructions, as well as supporting a safe environment through infection prevention and adherence to hospital policies and regulatory standards. The Registered Nurse will participate in care coordination, multidisciplinary rounds, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and experiences.QualificationsActive, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Nevada (or eligibility to obtain before start date).Graduate of an accredited nursing program; associate degree in nursing required, bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) preferred.Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and other specialty certifications (e.g., PALS, NIHSS) preferred or required based on unit.Clinical experience in an acute care hospital setting strongly preferred; new graduates with strong clinical rotations may be considered.Charge Nurse and Preceptor Demonstrated skills in patient assessment, clinical judgment, care planning, and evaluation using evidence-based nursing practices.Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork abilities, with a commitment to respectful, inclusive, and culturally sensitive care.Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and basic computer applications; ability to document accurately and efficiently.Ability to prioritize and manage multiple patients and tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and safety.Willingness to work assigned shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays, as required by the department.Commitment to professional growth, participation in ongoing education, and engagement in quality and performance improvement activities.
