This role partners closely with the Executive Director to strengthen organizational performance, support informed decision-making, and connect financial priorities with broader business goals. The ideal candidate brings strong oversight of administrative and financial operations, sound judgment in managing risk, and the ability to build productive relationships across internal teams and external partners.\n\nResponsibilities:\n\nLead the administration, information technology, accounting, and pension functions to ensure coordinated performance and dependable day-to-day operations.\nPartner with the Executive Director by delivering timely analysis, meaningful reporting, and practical recommendations that support strategic decisions.\nGuide the annual budgeting cycle in collaboration with finance leadership, helping departments stay aligned with financial targets while meeting operational objectives.\nEstablish performance measures and reporting tools that monitor financial results, operational effectiveness, and organizational trends.\nStrengthen internal controls, policy frameworks, and asset protection practices to reduce operational, regulatory, and technology-related risk.\nDirect administrative and facilities activities to maintain consistent support services as business needs evolve.\nBuild effective working relationships with consultants, service providers, and other external stakeholders to support organizational priorities.\nDrive process improvements that increase efficiency, accountability, and cross-functional collaboration across the organization.\nOversee the accuracy and quality of financial information, including reporting deliverables and audit-related coordination.\nBachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or a related field required; a master’s degree is preferred.\nAt least 7 years of relevant experience, including a minimum of 5 years in management or supervisory roles.\nMinimum of 5 years of accounting experience with solid knowledge of budgeting, month-end close, financial reporting, and cash flow forecasting.\nStrong technical proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and business systems that support accounting, finance, and IT operations.\nDemonstrated ability to communicate clearly, build trust with diverse stakeholders, and balance competing priorities effectively.\nProven success leading teams, encouraging collaboration across departments, and maintaining accountability for results.\nExperience in nonprofit environments is advantageous, and exposure to union or trust fund operations is a plus.\nAbility to work onsite in Pasadena, California on a permanent basis; this position is not available as remote or hybrid.\nRobert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
