This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll spend time inspecting machined parts while managing the day-to-day workflow of the Quality department and leading the inspection team.\nIf you have a strong machining background, enjoy solving quality challenges, and have experience leading inspectors in a manufacturing environment, we'd love to hear from you.\nResponsibilities:\nManage the daily operations and workflow of the Quality Control department\nPerform hands-on inspection of precision machined parts and components\nPrioritize work assignments for the inspection team to support production schedules\nDevelop, implement, and maintain quality control procedures and inspection standards\nCreate, prepare, and submit First Article Inspection (FAI) documentation to customers\nTrain, mentor, schedule, and supervise Quality Control personnel\nAnalyze quality data and production reports to identify trends and opportunities for improvement\nInvestigate quality issues with suppliers, customers, and internal manufacturing teams\nIdentify, document, and help resolve non-conforming products\nLead root cause investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)\nEnsure compliance with company quality standards and customer requirements\nQualifications:\n5+ years of Quality Control or Quality Management experience in a machine shop or manufacturing environment\nStrong ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints\nHands-on experience using precision measuring equipment including:\nCalipers\nMicrometers\nHeight gauges\nPin gauges\nThread gauges\nOther inspection tools\nExperience developing and maintaining quality systems and procedures\nPrevious experience leading, training, and supervising Quality Inspectors\nExcellent problem-solving and analytical skills\nStrong communication and leadership abilities\nAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 quality systems\nCNC machining or precision machining experience\nExperience preparing and submitting First Article Inspections (FAIs)\nWhat We Offer:\nCompetitive salary ranging from $85,000–$110,000, depending on experience\nHands-on leadership role with significant impact on production quality\nStable, full-time opportunity\nCollaborative manufacturing environment with opportunities for growth\nIf you're an experienced Quality professional looking for a leadership opportunity where you can stay involved on the shop floor while leading a team, we'd love to hear from you!\nIf you have any questions about this opportunity or would like to learn more, please contact Katherine Kimmell at 508-507-7189.
