By joining our team, you will be part of a unique and historic undertaking for the industry and the nation!\n\nJOB DUTIES\nPerforms work in the maintenance, repair, modification, and troubleshooting.\nPerforms maintenance, inspection, repair, testing and surveillance on plant equipment.\nRepairs reactor protection circuitry, fuel handling equipment turbine protective circuitry feed water instrumentation and control systems, radiation monitoring equipment and other plant instrumentation and control systems.\nImplements and performs preventive maintenance on I&C equipment.\nIdentifies problems, defects and failures which degrade component and system integrity and reliability.\nAssists Engineering with testing and evaluations.\nPerforms skilled work involving reactor system instrumentation and control, control rod drive instrumentation and nuclear instrumentation.\nPerforms technical reviews of procedures and other documents.\nServes as a member of the Emergency Response Organization.\n\nREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE\nI&C Technician 3:\n4 Years commercial nuclear experience; Technical understanding of nuclear generation principles and operations\n\nI&C Technician 2:\n2 years commercial nuclear experience; Technical understanding of nuclear generation principles and operations\n\nI&C Technician 1:\nHigh School diploma or GED\n\nANSI Section 4.5.2 Tech (The standard specifies this as Journeymen Level Personnel.)\nNuclear Control Tech\nLead Tech\n\nMinimum of 1 year of the experience should be related technical training\nHigh degree of manual dexterity\nIndividuals training or apprentice positions are not considered technicians or maintenance personnel for purposes of defining qualifications in ANSI/ANS 3.1 Section 4 “Qualification” but are permitted to perform work for which qualification has been demonstrated.\n\nDesired qualifications:\nRelated vocational, trade school apprentice program, or equivalent military training.\nAbility to make semi-technical calculations involved in the electrical area.\nExperience in nuclear power plant maintenance\nAbility to use required tools and equipment and possess capability to make complex repairs and adjustments on plant I&C equipment.\nCommunicate technical information concepts and ideas verbally and in writing.\nBe familiar with company safety rules.\nAbility to read prints, verbal comprehension and the ability to troubleshoot and repair I&C Equipment.\n\nCompany Testing:\nMaintenance Aptitude Selection System (MASS) testing required.\n\nThis is a union position.\nWage (based on level): $41.24 – $54.07\n\nHDI offers its employees a robust rewards package which includes: a competitive salary; a broad benefits package including medical/RX, dental, vision, life, disability, hospitalization, and other valuable voluntary options; time-off programs; 401(k) with employer match; professional and career development opportunities; and an unmatched culture focused on client-service, quality, and tireless pursuit of excellence in all we do.
