Occupational Therapist School Setting in Newport, NH
Make a meaningful difference this summer by providing essential occupational therapy services to students in a supportive, collaborative school environment. This contract opportunity is set for July 6 through July 31, Monday through Thursday, from 8 am to 12 pm. Serve students with disabilities, helping them work toward their Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals through hands-on and consultative support. What You'll Do:Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy aligned with each student's IEP.Utilize evidence-based strategies to enhance fine motor skills, sensory regulation, self-care, and overall school participation.Work closely with educators, families, and related service providers to ensure seamless support.Adapt materials and activities, making learning accessible and engaging for every student.Maintain thorough documentation of sessions, progress, and necessary compliance paperwork. Preferred Background:Current state licensure to practice occupational therapy.Prior experience in a school-based setting strongly preferred.Solid understanding of IDEA and IEP processes.Effective collaboration and communication skills to partner with multidisciplinary teams and families.Flexible, adaptive mindset to work with students in both school and community settings.
