This individual will be a member of a professional group responsible for the efficient and compliant movement of goods into and leaving the US. The Import/Export Analyst interfaces directly with customs brokers as well as international vendors and subsidiaries to ensure timely clearance and delivery of goods while complying with Waters policies and applicable government regulations. The group is also responsible for managing the Waters Foreign Trade Zone - ensuring the program is compliant with US Customs regulations. The decisions made by this group daily have direct impact on the legal standing for the company.\r\nApplication end date: Thursday 4th June 2026\r\nResponsibilities\r\n\r\nCommunicate with internal customers, international subsidiaries, distributors, vendors, brokers, and carriers to ensure efficient movement of goods into the US\r\nMaintain working relationship with foreign vendors to ensure inbound shipments adhere to Waters procedures and government regulations\r\nCoordinate customer returns from foreign subsidiaries and distributors\r\nManage appropriate import documentation including customs declarations, invoices, licenses, Partner Government Agency documentation, Mill Certificates, etc.\r\nAudit shipping documentation generated outside the Import Department for accuracy and completeness\r\nSubmit Importer Security Filing for incoming Ocean Shipments\r\nInterface with customs brokers and carriers to resolve problems at import and proactively resolving problems independently\r\nAudit Customs entries for accurate tariff classifications, country of origin and valuation Conduct required entry activities to correct discrepancies.\r\nAnalyze and report on various aspects of the importation process\r\nFacilitate inbound customs process with both NRI and FSFE tariff mitigation programs\r\nReporting shipments to Customs in ACE/GTS systems\r\nPerform Quarterly Accruals for Finance Department to capture freight/duty costs at End of Quarter\r\nForeign Trade Zone Export Entries/Admissions/Weekly Estimates\r\nMaintain relationship with 3rd Party Forwarders - signing off on CTPAT Questionnaire/staying current on contract renewals\r\nExecution of all Flight Data details (tracking/consolidation notes)\r\nAll other tasks as assigned\r\n\r\nQualifications\r\n\r\nBachelor's degree in business or at least 3-5 years import/trade related experience.\r\nStrong Excel Skills required.\r\nKnowledge of US import/export regulations is required.\r\nExperience with international freight forwarding process and supply chain\r\nForeign Trade Zone knowledge/experience is a nice-to-have.\r\nExperience in SAP highly desired\r\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to interact within all levels at Waters\r\nDetail oriented and demonstrates exceptional organizational skills\r\nAbility to prioritize, multitask and maintain flexibility in a fast paced, service-oriented environment.\r\n\r\nCompany Description\r\nWaters Corporation (NYSE:WAT) is a global leader in life sciences and diagnostics, dedicated to accelerating the benefits of pioneering science through analytical technologies, informatics, and service.
